Person Who Grabbed Ariana Grande on the occasion of Film Launch Banned from Singapore
An individual of Australian nationality that leaped across a fence and touched celebrity Ariana Grande has been sent away and banned from Singapore.
The man, aged 26, was handed a penalty to more than a week in jail for causing a public disturbance and has now been "barred from re-entering Singapore," the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority stated to news outlets.
The man shoved beyond security and rushed toward the celebrity, who was participating in the Asian premier for the film on 13 November. Co-performer Cynthia Erivo wrestled him away from Grande.
The individual has a record of causing disturbances at events and high-profile gatherings, including rushing the stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in the past June.
The event caused anger in Singapore, with several individuals claiming he of triggering past trauma for the singer.
The pop star has mentioned dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a explosive incident at her show in the English city in spring of 2017 killed 22 individuals and injured hundreds.
In the legal process, the court heard he had tried to gain access on the film's premiere on two occasions, according to local news sources.
